Greetings
The National Council of Negro Women, Stafford-Fredericksburg Section comprises talented and dedicated women who strive to promote community enrichment by empowering, informing and uplifting women and children in communities of color.
To accomplish this goal, our organization sponsors outreach projects including, but not limited to providing educational supplies to local schools, presenting STEM workshops that engage young people in technology activities, feeding homeless families, presenting free educational presentations on topics such as financial planning,
genealogy, HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and mental health chaired by professionals working in their respective fields, and providing supplies and funding targeted to assist families of domestic violence who are in shelters and need of counseling. Our outreach also includes raising awareness about the benefits of health and wellness through family-oriented events in association with NCNW National’s Good Health WINS
initiative geared to end the pandemic, address health disparities, and shine a light on the importance of good health. In addition, we partner with other non-profit organizations engaged in activities that match our mission.
To finance these projects and other activities, we host entertaining fundraisers that energize our members and are supported by the residents of the communities we serve.
Our name is National Council of Negro Women, Stafford-Fredericksburg Section; however, we welcome members from all regions who share our mission. We are proud to be of assistance to our area and are eager to have new members join us in our efforts.
